Keynote speakers
We are proud to announce the following keynote speakers for the conference. We have learned on 21 August that Dr Mike Zastrocky is unfit to travel and he is replaced by his colleague Dr Jan-Martin Lowendahl.

Jan-Martin Lowendahl is a research director in Gartner Research, where his research area is higher-education technology strategies including administrative and academic systems, learning technologies, identity and access management, governance as well as European higher education issues such as the Bologna Process. Prior to joining Gartner, Dr. Lowendahl had 15 years of experience in higher education, including research and teaching and IT management. Most recently he served as CIO, where his main focus was infrastructure strategies and governance. Dr. Lowendahl has also worked collaboratively in the academic community and has served on several Boards. |

Mervyn E King S.C. is a Senior Counsel and former Judge of the Supreme Court of South Africa. He is Professor Extraordinaire at the University of South Africa on Corporate Citizenship and Chairman of the King Committee on Corporate Governance in South Africa . He is the president, chairman, director and member of a wide range of organisations such as the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa, the Automobile Association of South Africa, Dunlop Tyres International and many more. He has consulted, advised and spoken on legal, business and corporate governance issues in 28 countries and has received many awards . |

Helaine Leggat has worked in the field of ICT during the last six years and is today regarded as one of the leading consultants in the field, providing legal, business and corporate governance services to some of the biggest corporations in South Africa, both public and private. Helaine was formerly a Corporate Legal Advisor at Buys Inc. Attorneys and a Director of Buys IT Law Consultants (Pty) Ltd. Today Helaine heads up Business Services for Michalsons Attorneys and is a Director of its sister consulting firm, i-Forest a multi-disciplinary professional practice specialising in information management. |

Thabo Ndlela is an Executive at Volition Consulting Services. Thabo has acquired extensive leadership experience and business acumen from various board and management positions. They include CIO for Broadcast Information Technology at the SABC, Programme Manager for Standard Bank Group IT, Systems Integration Manager for Multichoice, and Engineering Manager for Nampak Corrugated. Thabo holds membership, amongst many institutions, with the South African Engineering Council, SAIEE, Black IT Forum and Black Management Forum. He is a frequent conference speaker on topics ranging from information technology, electronics engineering, and supply chain management. |
